It has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44/SC 5 "Testing and inspection of welds" (secretariat: AFNOR, France) and has been adopted without alteration as European Standard by Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 "Welding and allied processes" (secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German committee is Joint Working Committee NA 092-00-05 GA "NAS/NMP: Zerstörende Prüfung von Schweißverbindungen (DVS AG Q4)" ("NAS/NMP: Destructive testing of welds (DVS AG Q4)") at the Welding and allied processes Standards Committee (NAS) at DIN.
