This International Standard describes a measurement procedure for formaldehyde (HCHO). Sampling is performed with diffusive samplers in which DNPH coated silica gel filters are integrated. For analysis formaldehyde is desorbed from the coated filter by acetonitril and quantified with high performance liquid chromatographie. The test method covers area measurements of formaldehyde in indoor air in the range from 0,001 mg/m3 to 1 mg/m3 using a sampling period of between 24 h and 72 h.
