This standard is a product standard in the field of signs and markings for vessels. Signs and sign-holders for marking devices and armatures on ships of the German armed forces are defined. The standard contains specifications with regard to dimensions, materials, the number of characters and affixing signs and sign holders. This standard replaces VG 81226-5:2008-12.
