This standard has been prepared by NA 140-00-22 AA (Technische Dokumente und Maschinenelemente (NABw TD/Ma)) (Technical documentation and machine elements (NABw TD/Ma)) of the Electrical Engineering Standards Committee (NE) at DIN. It specifies the requirements for toggle catches, which are used in the whole entire Bundeswehr area. Toggle catches according to this standard are also designated as lock retainers.
