Overview

This standard is a product standard for connectors. The committee responsible for the standard is NA 140-00-14-01 UA "Steckverbinder und Steckvorrichtungen" ("Electrical connectors and plug-and-socket devices") of the Electrical Engineering Standards Committee (NE) at DIN. This standard is valid in connection with VG 96921-1 and VG 96921-2 for two-pole concentric connectors to be inserted in electrical systems at voltages up to 50 Volt. Connectors of the Type B to G have one pole connected to the chassis. All connectors can be coupled with connectors according to DIN EN ISO 4165. Components according to this standard are subject to qualification approval; for this refer to VG 95211. Components according to this standard can be applied at ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +85 °C.
