  • The VDMA standard sheets reflect the technical specifications of the German mechanical engineering industry. The list of VDMA standard sheets contains all valid VDMA standard sheets as well as those that are in preparation.

    VDMA standard sheets are technical rules and agreements that are developed efficiently and promptly by VDMA member companies in line with the latest technical developments. They are company standards that apply across all companies.

    With around 3,300 members, the VDMA is the largest network organization and an important voice of the mechanical engineering industry in Germany and Europe. The association represents the common economic, technical and scientific interests of this unique and diverse industry.

  • With the development of VDMA standard sheets, the VDMA offers its member companies a platform for the joint formulation and specification of technical standards and for the rapid placement of technologies and standards on the market. VDMA standard sheets are recognized by the industry as an important set of technical rules for mechanical and plant engineering.

    The results jointly developed by the member companies in the technical working groups of the VDMA specialist associations are documented in the VDMA standard sheets as the "state of the art". In this way, the member companies can establish new technical developments as the standard for the entire German mechanical engineering industry within a very short time.

  • The VDMA standard sheets provide users, in particular machine manufacturers and machine operators, with technical recommendations and practical instructions, and facilitate planning, project planning and tendering. They are a valuable aid for the assessment of new technologies and for the economic and technical comparison of offers.
