DIN 1946-6 Beiblatt 2:2013-03

DIN 1946-6 is a design and performance standard primarily directed at planners and contractors of ventilation systems. Clause 4 "Ventilation concept - Necessity of ventilating measures" and clause 5 "Ventilation concept - Selecting a ventilation system" of DIN 1946-6 is directed at other target groups, for example, window manufacturers. For this reason, these two clauses of DIN 1946-6 in this supplement have been depicted and prepared separately so a simple use is possible independent of DIN 1946-6. This Supplement 2 to DIN 1946-6 applies to the natural ventilation and fan-assisted ventilation of dwellings and similarly used groups of rooms (dwelling units). The supplement describes for a ventilation concept the determination of the necessary ventilating measures and the selection of a ventilation system with which the minimum air change rates required by the building authority regulations of the German Länder or the Energieeinsparverordnung (EnEV) (German Energy Savings Ordinance) can be ensured.
