This document (DIN SPEC 32737) specifies a method for the energetic evaluation of fuel cells and enables their evaluation within the scope of the German Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) and regulations based on it. Alternatively, an evaluation can be carried out using recognized simulation methods. The evaluation method applies to fuel cells with a thermal output between 0,3 kW and 5 kW, which are used in a residential building or a building with similar usage and are operated in a heat-controlled manner. The method requires the availability of the fuel cell characteristics (power, efficiency) determined in accordance with DIN EN 50465. This method does not apply to fuel cells that are operated under current control or for those that are used without heat accumulators or with a storage capacity of less than 100 litres per kW (thermal). This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 041-05-01 AA "Energetische Bewertung gebäudetechnischer Anlagen (SpA ISO/TC 205 "Umweltgerechte Gebäudeplanung")") ("Energy efficiency of technical building systems) SpA ISO/TC 205 "Building environment design")").
