The primary energy demand of the systems considered in DIN V 4701-10 is composed of shares of renewable and non-renewable resources. For purposes of simplification, DIN V 4701-10:2003-08 gives the entire primary energy factor as the sum of both shares for all energy carriers (except wood). In the course of the EnEV 2007 (German Energy Saving Regulation of 24th July 2007) and the subsequent EnEV revisions, primary energetic evaluations for all energy carriers refer to the non-renewable share. Some modifications of DIN V 4701-10 are necessary; these have been collected in the following. This allows calculation of the entire primary energy demand and the non-renewable share of the primary energy demand.
