Short description
Ultrasonic atomizers are used to generate polydisperse aerosols from aqueous solutions. Solid particles are produced at number concentrations of 106 to 107 cm-3 in flow rates of about 60 m3/h. Depending on the frequency used, droplets with mass median diameters of 2 to 40 µm are produced.
