Short description
This guideline deals with precipitation of solid and/or liquid particles from process or waste gases by means of electrostatic precipitators. Electrostatic precipitators can be used for most industrial processes and can principally achieve lowest clean gas dust contents. The physical principle of particle precipitation by means of electric power does not know any particle sizes that cannot be collected or precipitated due to their small dimensions(e.g. PM10 and PM2,5). Moreover, electrostatic precipitators can be utilized - in contrast to many other waste gas cleaning methods - even at very high waste gas temperatures (usually up to 500 °C).
