VDI 3814 Blatt 6:2008-07

The VDI 3814 series of guidelines applies to facilities, software and services for automatic open- and closed-loop control, logical interlocks monitoring, optimization and operation, as well as the management with a view to energy-efficient and reliable operation, of building-services systems. The international standard DIN EN ISO 16484 not considering all regional requirements, it is for the guideline VDI 3814 to assume the task of specifying the requirements commonly expected to be fulfilled by BACS in Central Europe and going beyond those of the aforementioned standard (exception: electricalsafety requirements). The examples given in this guideline serve to illustrate how state graphs can be used to describe logic control tasks in the building services. The scope of this guideline expressly includes the description of logic control tasks involving the entire systems. Other description methods (see above) are not excluded. The examples chosen do not imply any normative specifications for some system equipment, functionality, specific values of parameters, etc.
