The guideline provides external training providers educating "Competent Persons for mobile or movable jacks and associated lifting equipments" according to DIN EN 1494 with important examination topics in accordance with the German Occupational Safety Ordinance. The guideline covers mechanical jacks with or without claws, hydraulic jacks with or without claws as well as with or without built-in pump (hydraulic trolley jacks, hydraulic transmission jacks, hydraulic pit jacks) and pneumatic jacks. This guideline puts the general statements of the described working equipment of VDI 4068 Part 1 into precise terms.
