Short description
The guideline describes the general requirements to be taken into account in planning and performing emission measurements of microbial air pollutants at different source types. The guideline considers bioaerosol emissions originating from conducted sources (based on the requirements specified by DIN EN 15259, VDI 2066 and DIN EN 13284), from active area sources (e.g. biofilters) and passive area sources (e.g. non-ventilated composting heaps) based on the requirements specified by VDI 3475 Part 1 and VDI 3880. This guideline complements VDI 4257 Part 2 dealing with the sampling of bioaerosol emissions with emission impingers.
