Short description
The Digital Factory provides the tools needed for planning the increasingly complex product and production development processes. It includes the application of models, methods and tools used for the planning, commissioning and operation of a factory. The guideline defines and explains the Digital Factory Operations. It covers the phases of a production system from assembly and production process planning up to the running series production. An integrated data management combines reality with the models of the Digital Factory by using the results of production planning in combination with virtual and/or real plants and plant control systems, and supplying to the operational IT system. The superordinate production management system in combination with the Digital Factory allows to plan the overall start-up behavior of the system.
