Short description
The standard provides assistance for the successful implementation of a turnaround in the pharmaceutical, chemical and petrochemical industry according to a project approach. It describes characteristics for the planning and implementation of a turnaround in order to optimize the time and cost expenditure while complying with occupational safety and environmental protection requirements. It defines the basic terms and gives recommendations for action for the successful completion and quality assurance of the turnaround and notes on compliance with operator obligations. The standard provides important recommendations for turnarounds regarding organization, information flow, communication, responsibilities, networking of work processes and for the coordination of statutory inspections, inspections according to operator specifications, risk management, cleaning, maintenance activities as well as integration of plant modifications and projects.
