This makes it possible to deal with the topic of "local cold air" in spatial and environmental planning in a professional manner and also to fulfil the formal legal quality requirements of building and environmental protection legislation. The standard thus enables climate experts, regional and urban planners to objectively assess the steps necessary for the corresponding consideration process regarding the formation, dynamics and effect of local cold air.
