Short description
This guideline describes a total measurement procedure for the determination of halogenated and non-halogenated hydrocarbons in air in an analytical window from pentane to dodecane. The method described allows the determination of gaseous or vaporous organic compounds in air in the range of ambient concentrations. The advantages of the described method are the especial low blank values of the adsorption tubes, the low detection limit, caused by low volumes of the used solvent and the easy handling for the sampler and analyst. Furthermore one sample can be analysed many times.
