Short description
Guideline VDI 4205 Part 4 specifies the details of the system test of active vapour recovery systems. During this test the system stability, proportionality, efficiency and parameters for the setting of the system are determined. To determine the efficiency, the basic emission and the residual emission are measured. This is done by adsorption of the petrol vapour/air mixture, which is emitted during the filling process, on activated carbon and subsequent gravimetric analysis. The test is carried out with a representative group of passenger cars.
