The "Initiative Practice-oriented Rules in Building Construction - PRB" presents the first results of its work on improving the ease of use of the Eurocodes at a workshop held in Berlin on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th December 2014. PRB was founded in Germany in 2011 by engineering associations, scientific societies and contractors' associations. It was a result of the overflowing discussions within the civil engineering community after the implementation of the Eurocodes. PRB's approach to improve the standards of the Eurocode series is, alternatively to the traditional, detail-focused and hence scattered European practice, a concentration of the work in six project-groups.
