Overview

This standard has been prepared by NA 053-01-02 AA "Krankenkraftfahrzeuge und deren medizinische und technische Ausstattung" ("Ambulances and its medical and technical equipment") at DIN Standards Committee Rescue Services and Hospital (NARK). The stretcher according to this standard is intended for first aid and for the treatment and transport of sick and injured persons, with the exception of use in ambulances according to DIN EN 1789:2007+A2:2014. Taking into account the special requirements of civil protection and disaster control, and as far as concerns of national security are concerned, the stretcher can also be used in ambulances.
