DIN 14691 specifies fire-specific requirements and test methods for multipole plug-in connectors used in fire fighting vehicles and emergency service vehicles. These connectors shall be seen as an extension of the connector and the plug of the DIN 14690 standard series, since many technical requirements shall be realized with the two-pole connector systems in accordance with DIN 14690-1 and DIN 14690-2.
