DIN 1961 "German construction contract procedures (VOB) - Part B: General conditions of contract relating to the execution of construction work" has been technically revised by the German Committee for construction contract procedures (DVA). The standard specifies the general conditions of contract relating to the execution of construction work. These conditions contain information on the nature and extent of work, liabilities of contracting parties, penalties, warranty claims and settlement of accounts, amongst others. The modifications concern § 16, the revision of which has become necessary in the VOB/B with regard to Directive 2011/7/EU dated 16.02.2011 on combating late payment in commercial transactions (Late Payments Directive) and the intended implementation into German law.
