This standard applies to the method for determining distribution curves (distribution sum or distribution density curves, according to DIN ISO 9276-1) of dispersed solids in the range of particle sizes from about 5 µm to about 40 µm by air classification with gravitation-counterflow elutriators. These devices can also be used to produce fractions of certain size classes. This standard differs from DIN 66119:1983-04 as follows: a) normative references have been updated; b) the standard has been editorially revised. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-11-42 AA "Partikelmesstechnik (SpA zu ISO/TC 24/SC 42") ("Particle measurement (Mirror Committee of ISO/TC 24/SC 42)") at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau).
This document replaces DIN 66119:1983-04 .
