Overview

This standard specifies the testing of the performance characteristics of adhesives for load-bearing timber components. Compared to DIN 68141:2008-01, the title has been changed and references to DIN EN standards for the determination of adhesive performance characteristics have been removed. The time span between preparation and application of the adhesive for determining the open drying time has been reduced from 10 min to 2 min and the determination of the open drying time is now carried out from the end of the adhesive application. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 042-04-05 AA "Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 193/SC 1 Holzklebung" ("Mirror committee for CEN/TC 193/SC 1 Wood adhesives") at DIN Standards Committee Timber and Furniture (NHM).
