Overview

This standard has been prepared by the Standards Committee Machine Tools (NWM) at Working Committee NA 122-00-08-01 UA "Baueinheiten und Mehrspindelköpfe" ("Constructional units and multi-spindle heads"). DIN 69002-3 specifies the individual parts for the short spindles described in DIN 69002-1 and DIN 69002-2 by means of dimensions, tolerances and material specifications. The specifications in this standard enable the manufacture of uniform components of consistent quality, which allow easy interchangeability between different manufacturers, thus enabling cost savings to be made and supply bottlenecks to be circumvented. This standard is to be used in conjunction with DIN 69002-1 and -2. The specifications in the three parts of this series of standards are harmonized with each other.
