Overview

This document (EN 13383-2:2011) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 154 "Aggregates", the secretariat of which is held by BSI (United Kingdom). The responsible national committee is NA 062-03-13 AA "Gesteinskörnungen; Prüfverfahren, Petrographie, Probenahme und Präzision" ("Aggregates; test methods, petrography, sampling and precision") at the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP). This European Standard specifies sampling and test methods for natural, artificial and recycled aggregates for use as armourstone. This European Standard specifies the reference methods to be used for initial type testing and in case of dispute. For other purposes, in particular in the framework of factory production control, other methods may be used provided that an appropriate relationship with the reference method has been established.
