DIN EN 13632:2010-11

The document EN 13632:2009 has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 336 "Bituminous binders", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The responsible German Committee is Joint Committee NA 062-03-32 GA "Bitumen; Prüfverfahren und Anforderungen für die Bindemittel" ("Bitumen; test methods and specifications of binders") of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) and of the Building and Civil Engineering Standards Committee (NABau). The following changes have been made with respect to DIN EN 13632:2004-03: a) 4.7, Temperature regulated sand bath, has been added; b) standard has been editorially revised. This document specifies a method for visualisation of the polymer distribution in polymer modified bitumen by fluorescent microscopy. The method is applicable for most of the commercially used polymers, but before the method is used it should be examined whether the test is applicable for the actual polymer. The method should only be used for identification purposes, that means in connection with production control.
