This draft amendment defines relevant requirements set out in Annex I of EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, relating to machines which were placed on the European Economic Area (EEA) for the first time, with the intent of simplifying the means of proving conformity with these requirements. This draft amendment deals with the machine-specific significant hazards describes the associated safety requirements and/or protection measures as well as requirements for the information for use. This draft amendment contains the German version of draft amendment prA1:2014 to EN 280:2013 which has been prepared by CEN/TC 98 "Lifting platforms" at the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). The national interests during the preparation are represented by Committee NA 060-22-21 AA "Fahrbare Hubarbeitsbühnen" ("Mobile elevating work platforms") at Technical Section "Materials handlings and intralogistics" of the Standards Committee Mechanical Engineering (NAM) at DIN. Representatives of manufacturers and users of mobile elevating work platforms, and of the employers' liability insurance associations are involved in the preparation. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN 280:2014-02: a) technical modifications with regard to the topic "Structural calculations"; b) technical modifications with regard to the topic "Controls"; c) addition in 5.6.14 regarding the positioning of the anchorages for restraint devices; d) addition of an informative Annex H "Stress history parameters"; e) addition of an informative Annex I "Fatigue assessment: Relationship between S classes in EN 13001-3-1 and B groups in DIN 15018"; f) addition of an informative Annex J "Requirements for Performance Level d safety functions".
