In this document a method for testing the resistance of fibreboards and particleboards to axial withdrawal of screws is specified. The axial withdrawal of screws on the face and edge are determined by measuring the force required to withdraw a defined screw from the test piece. The axial withdrawal of screws on the edge is only determined on boards of 15 mm thickness or more. With respect to DIN EN 329:1993-08 the scope has been extended to include particleboards. The Committee responsible for this document is NA 042-02-15 AA "Holzwerkstoffe - Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 112 und ISO/TC 89" ("Wood-based panels (Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 112 and ISO/TC 89)") at DIN.
This document replaces DIN EN 320:1993-08 .
