Overview

The DIN EN 4056 series of standards describes cable ties for harnesses applied in the aerospace industry. Part 003 of the series of standards specifies the requirements for cable ties with either internal or external teeth that are used for installation with controlled tension of cable bundles in aircraft and are made entirely of plastic. The cable ties are applicable for the temperature ranges -65 °C to 105 °C or -65 °C to 150 °C. The standard is to be used in conjunction with EN 4056-001. The EN 4056 series of standards has been prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Aerospace Standards Committee. AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the aerospace sector. The responsible German standardization body is Working Committee NA 131-04-08 AA "Installationskomponenten" ("Installation components") at the DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
