DIN EN 4644-142:2017-03

The EN 4644 standard series describes modular rectangular electrical and optical connectors with rectangular inserts, operating temperature 175 °C (or 125 °C) continuous. The connectors described in this standard are suitable for use on board commercial and military aircraft for panel and rack application under rough environmental conditions. Part 142 specifies the size 4 receptacle for rack and panel application. The plug corresponding to this receptacle is defined in EN 4644-141. The standard differs from the previous edition DIN EN 4644-142:2012-08 as follows: a) Figures 1 to 3 have been updated; b) For the coding according to Figure 3 areas 5 to 8 have been renamed areas 1 to 4. The standards of the DIN 4644 series have been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Connector") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
