DIN EN 55013:2013-11

This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 55013:2013, which adopts International Standard CISPR 13:2009 with common European modifications. The standard describes the methods of measurement for radiofrequency disturbance voltage of sound and television receivers or associated equipment and specifies limits for the control of disturbance from such equipment. For this purpose specifications for distance voltage at the mains terminals, disturbance voltage at the antenna terminals, radiation and disturbance power are given. Furthermore, limits and methods of measurement for the wanted signal and disturbance voltage at the RF output of equipment with incorporated or with add-on RF video modulator (for example video recorders and decoders) are specified. The test signals used for operation of the Equipment Under Test during the test are also specified. Broadcast receivers for digital signals are specifically identified in normative Annex A and informative Annex B. Furthermore, specifications for statistical compliance of the measurement on series-manufactured equipment with the requirements and for representation of the measurement results are specified. With respect to the previous edition of the standard, the previous normative references to CISPR 16-1 and CISPR 16-2 have been replaced by normative references to the new standards CISPR 16-1-1 to CISPR 16-1-4 and CISPR 16-22-1 to CISPR 16-2-3. This modification considers the breakdown of the CISPR 16 standard series which was completed in 2003 and serves as a reference to the content of the standard series which has been developed further in the meantime. Furthermore, the method described in the more recent edition of CISPR 16-1-1 for the radio disturbance and immunity measurement using the root-mean-square average-value detector (RMS/AV detector) has been adopted into this standard and the limits of radiation to be used for receivers were specified. The method serves as an alternative for measurement of the radio disturbance with the quasi peak detector and the average detector. The corresponding specifications are modified by the common amendments, however. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 767.15 "EMV von Ton- und Fernseh-Rundfunkempfängern" ("EMC of sound and television broadcast receivers") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
