Overview

This part of IEC 60947 series provides additional requirements to those given in IEC 6 0947-5-2. It addresses the fault performance aspects of proximity devices with a defined behaviour under fault conditions (PDDB). This draft consists of some amendments concerning different parts of the standard. Major amendments are: - general principles of EN 61508 series; - classification according to the requirements of EN 62061; - classification according to EN ISO 13849-1. The responsible committee is DKE/K 431 "Niederspannungsschaltgeräte und -kombinationen" ("Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
