This part of IEC 60974 is applicable to the installation and use of equipment for arc welding and allied processes designed in accordance with safety requirements of IEC 60974-1, IEC 60974-6 or equivalent. The responsible Committee is K 361 "Lichtbogenschweißeinrichtungen" ("Electric arc welding equipment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) of DIN and VDE.
