The International Standard DIN EN 61730-1 (VDE 0126-30-1) describes the fundamental construction requirements for photovoltaic modules in order to provide safe electrical and mechanical operation during their expected lifetime. This amendment adapts standard EN 61730-1:2007 to current findings and takes into account new or revised, referenced standards and topics. Changes are to be found in Clause 7 "Connections". The responsible committee is DKE/K 373 "Photovoltaische Solarenergie-Systeme" ("Solar photovoltaic energy systems") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
This document has been replaced by: DIN EN IEC 61730-1:2018-10; VDE 0126-30-1:2018-10 .
