The DIN EN 61800-7 series describes profiles for power drive systems (PDS) and their mapping to existing communication systems by use of a generic interface model. This part of IEC 61800 specifies profile type 1 (CiA 402) for power drive systems (PDS). Profile type 1 can be mapped onto different communication network technologies. The responsible committee is DKE/K 226 "Ausrüstung von Starkstromgeräten und -anlagen mit elektronischen Betriebsmitteln" ("High voltage current equipment and systems with electronic equipment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
This document replaces DIN EN 61800-7-201:2008-11 .
