This International Standard specifies a method for testing the leak tightness under internal pressure with angular deflection of assembled joints between elastomeric-sealing-ring-type sockets made of plastic or metal and plastic pressure pipes. The standard is addressed to manufacturers and users of these socket joints as well as to the corresponding testing institutes. In particular, the standard covers aspects of product safety. DIN EN ISO 13845 is the German version of the European standard EN ISO 13845 prepared by the Technical Committee CEN/TC 155 "Plastic piping systems and ducting systems". At DIN the committee responsible for DIN EN ISO 13845 is NA 054-05-02 AA "Prüfverfahren für Rohre" ("Test methods for pipes").
This document replaces DIN EN ISO 13845:2000-06 .
