DIN EN ISO 1927-1:2012-11

This document defines terms relating to unshaped refractory products and establishes the classification for the various types of product. Raw materials and crushed or granulated refractory materials, which do not contain any binder, are excluded. The general objective of this document is to define, with as much accuracy as possible, the control of unshaped (monolithic) refractory products with special reference to quality control, checking the conformity of the delivery as compared with claimed properties, the control of batch homogeneity and the final control of linings. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 33 "Refractories" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been adopted by Technical Committee CEN/TC 187 "Refractory products and materials" the secretariat of which is held by BSI (United Kingdom). The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 062-02-57 AA "Ungeformte, dichte geformte und wärmedämmende feuerfeste Erzeugnisse und Werkstoffe" ("Unshaped, dense shaped and insulating refractory products and materials") at the Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee (NAM) at DIN.
