This part of ISO 3175 specifies drycleaning procedures for hydrocarbon solvents, using commercial drycleaning machines, for fabrics and garments. It comprises procedures for normal and sensitive materials. When using commercial drycleaning equipment, national regulations and normal safety precautions should be observed. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 38 "Textiles" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 248 "textiles and textile products", the secretariat of which is held by BSI. The responsible German body is Working Committee NA 062-05-13 "Textilpflege, Wassereinwirkung, Knitterverhalten" ("Textile care, water action, crease behaviour") of the DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing at DIN.
