DIN EN ISO 4499-1:2010-10

The text of ISO 4499-1:2008 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO TC 119 "Powder metallurgy" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and adopted as EN ISO 4499-1:2010. The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 145-01-04 AA "Probenahme und Prüfverfahren für Hartmetalle" ("Sampling and testing methods for hardmetals") of the Technology of Material Standards Committee (NWT). This standard specifies the methods for metallographic determination of the microstructure of hardmetals using photomicrographs. With regard to DIN ISO 4499:1991-07 the standard has been technically and editorially revised. The standard has been expanded by another apparatus, a subclause regarding metallographic preparation has been added in the clause "Procedure", the information for the etching of the test subject has been expanded in the clause "Procedure", photomicrographs have been added and the normative references have been updated.
