This document contains requirements and test methods for carbon dioxide for use as fire extinguishing media. Annexes A to C of this International Standard specify methods for determining water, oil and total sulfur compounds contents. Annexes D to G provide important information on, and give recommendations relating to, the safety and use of the medium. With respect to DIN EN 25923:1994-01 the standard has been editorially revised. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 031-03-04 AA "Feuerlöschanlagen mit gasförmigen Löschmitteln und deren Bauteile" ("Gas extinguishing systems and their components") at DIN.
This document replaces DIN EN 25923:1994-01 .
