The modification of the test standard was necessary for explanation of the terms and definitions and a test of special application conveyor belts has been included. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 41 "Pulleys and belts (including veebelts)", SC 3 "Conveyor belts" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been adopted by Technical Committee CEN/TC 188 "Conveyor belts". The responsible national Committee is NA 045-02-05 AA "Fördergurte" ("Conveyor belts") of the Rubber Technology Standards Committee (FAKAU).
This document replaces DIN EN ISO 9856:2004-07 .
