The International Standard ISO 7388-2:2007 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 29 "Small tools", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France), with the collaboration of German experts of the Tools and Clamping Devices Standards Committee (FWS) at Working Committee NA 121-02-05 AA "Werkzeugaufnahmen und Schnittstelle Maschine/Werkzeuge" ("Tool holders and machine/tool interface"). The document applies for tools and clamping devices with taper shanks for automatic tool changers with and without coolant lubricant feed and design with data medium.
