This Technical Specification specifies the following for all grown-up users: - criteria for easy opening of packagings; - evaluation methods for easy opening of consumer packagings. This Technical Specification aims at specifying test methods for evaluation of easy opening of consumer packagings in order to improve easy accessibility of the content. For packagings which are subject to special regulations for safety or similar reasons, such as packagings for dangerous goods and hazardous substances, medicinal products and medical devices, these regulations always take precedence. This Technical Specification applies for all packagings which can be opened without using tools, and packagings which are sold including tools. The document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 261 "Packaging". The responsible German Committee is NA 115-01-08 AA "Leichte Handhabbarkeit von Verpackungen" ("Packaging - Ease of opening") at the Packaging Standards Committee (NAVp).
