DIN SPEC 19544:2014-06

This DIN SPEC in accordance with the PAS procedure was developed within a workshop (temporary committee) set up on a temporary basis. The document was developed and approved by the authors named in the foreword. This document specifies the requirements, performance criteria and test methods for the renovation of pipe joints in existing vitrified clay drains and sewers to assure the establishment of long-term, tight and flexible joints. This document is applicable to vitrified clay pipe systems with a ring seal socket of nominal sizes DN 150 to DN 600 where the seal in the pipe joint has not yet been established in the factory and has been executed, for instance, with puddle, potting materials and rolling rings. This document does not apply to the elimination of static or operational damage on pipes (bursts, broken pieces, erosion, etcetera) and not to the injection of sealing material into the soil surrounding the pipe joint.
