Overview

This DIN SPEC was prepared in the course of the PAS procedure by a workshop (temporary committee). The preparation and adoption of the document was carried out by the authors mentioned in the foreword. The planned DIN SPEC is to define requirements for the design of a reference architecture for a modular recommendation-based demand side management system consisting of the modules "Demand Side Management", "Energy Monitoring", "Grid Usage Logic" and "Visualization", which allows for relief of the supply networks by orientation on tariff incentives. The target group are manufacturing companies that do not yet have any load management solutions or would like to extend existing open systems with additional modular functionalities. A mediating abstraction layer (middleware) can ensure interoperability between the modules and energy measurements on existing and legacy systems from different manufacturers.
