Short description
The maximum immission values (MI values) for arsenic presented in this standard are designed to protect farm animals and food derived from them. MI values for arsenic have been calculated on the basis of long-term experiments to determine dose-time-response relationships in farm animals. Consequently immission values for arsenic can be determined only for those animals for which experimental data is available. Under standard conditions of feeding and husbandry, farm animals kept outside periodically or throughout the year are particularly at risk from arsenic exposure.
