Short description
The standard is a supplement to and deepens Section 4 of VDI 2710. There, realisation, operational planning, change planning are only briefly touched upon. This standard describes these topics in detail and thus offers assistance to the user introducing and operating AGVs systems. The standard serves as a guide for the user and the manufacturer during all phases of the life cycle of an AGVs system. This standard is primarily aimed at the users of AGVs and the systems. It takes into account that the range of AGVs use is enormous: from industrial production logistics with tight timing to large multi-shuttle systems in goods picking to individual vehicles used in the public sector, in trade and commerce, in catering or other service fields.
