Short description
In the guideline, a method for estimating the dispersion of the release of heavy gases caused by industrial accidents is described within the framework of the safety study according to the second general administrative regulation for the ordinance on industrial accidents. This method can be applied to mean and to worst dispersion situations. This means that the procedure given in this guideline may not be used for the dispersion prognosis of actual industrial accidents, or for the reconstruction of suspected industral accidents. Data on the type, the spatial and temporal course of the pollutant emission, hazardous areas, damages, and effects are not dealt with in this guideline.
